The Congress of Delegates

All jurisdictions of this Church entitled by the Constitution or Canons to choose Delegates to the General Assembly shall be required to do so not later than twelve months preceding the opening of the General Assembly for which they have been chosen.

Each Diocese admitted to union with the General Assembly. shall be entitled to representation in the National Conference of Clergy and Laity, otherwise known as The Congress of Delegates, with no more than four ordained persons, Reverends or Deacons, canonically resident in the Diocese and not more than four Lay Persons, confirmed adult communicants in good standing resident in the Diocese. Each Diocese shall subscribe the manner in which their Delegates are chosen.

 

The President of the Congress of Delegates shall convene the Congress of Delegates annually, on a date and location to be specified, for the purpose of advancing the adopted matters of the previous General Assembly and preparing legislative proposals for consideration at the forthcoming General Assembly.
