The Apostolic Realm
of
The Convocation of Bishops

Every Archbishop of this Church exercising Ecclesiastical Authority in an ecclesiastical jurisdiction admitted in union with the General Assembly has a seat and vote in the Apostolic Realm.

Every Apostolic Secretary of the Apostolic Secretariat exercising Ecclesiastical Authority  over an ecclesiastical department has a seat and vote in the Apostolic Realm.

The Archbishops and Apostolic Secretaries of the Apostolic Realm are also known as the Episcopal Elders of the Church. It is the Canonical right and obligation of the Episcopal Elders to advise the Apostolic Overseer when such advise is sought or required.

​

The Convocation of Bishops adopted resolutions that vested the Apostolic Realm to be the sole electors of the Apostolic Overseer in accordance with the Constitution and Canons of this Church.

 

When the Apostolic Realm is sitting as electors to chose the next Apostolic Overseer it is known as The Consistory for Apostolic Session.
