The Convocation of Bishops
Every Bishop exercising Ecclesiastical Authority over a jurisdiction of this Church may appoint a maximum of two bishops canonically resident in their diocese to serve on the Ecumenical Council.
The Ecumenical Council is the gathering of bishops chosen from amongst the dioceses in union with this Church for the purpose of fostering unity with the Apostolic Overseer, and when requested, to assist the Apostolic Overseer with their counsel in the preservation and growth of Church Doctrine and teachings and in the observance and strengthening of ecclesiastical discipline.
The Ecumenical Council does not have authority to issue edits or decrees, but can voice their opinions through Ecumenical Dialogue for consideration by the Apostolic Overseer.
