The Apostolic Overseer's Christmas Message

The Apostolic Overseer’s Christmas Message
Then He Came Into The World
The world recognizes, either in part or whole, the season of Christmas. Whether or not the truth and meaning is understood, accepted, or revered depends on Christ’s followers personal and collective attitude and gratefulness.
Often we emphasize the traditions of our culture and family as the season approaches. The buying of gifts for family and friends; the preparation of a festive dinner; or the various social engagements sometimes seem more relevant than the true reason and purpose of Christmas.
The prophet Isaiah wrote concerning the reason and purpose of this season by declaring in Isaiah 9:6-7
6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
A Child is to be born. A Son is to be given. Profound words of what was to come, has come, and will come again.
Although the precise date of the Messiah's birth is not known, we can affirm that Jesus Christ entered this world as the embodiment of God in human form to fulfill the promise made by our Heavenly Father to the serpent, the devil, prior to Adam and Eve's expulsion from the Garden of Eden.
14 So the Lord God said to the serpent:
“Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” Genesis 3:14-15
What we refer to as the original sin is in fact the predestine effect caused by the separation of the Creator, Almighty God, from His final creation, Mankind. This separation was created by the temptation and deceit of the devil, through the serpent, of Adam and Eve, thereby the present divide between the Creator and His Creation. What we, believers and non-believers alike, should arrive at is the consciousness of knowing that we are sinners who are and can, respectively, be saved because of this Child’s birth that we celebrate this season.
God’s Creation Plan was not destroyed when Adam and Eve sinned, rather it was interrupted by the schemes of the devil for a fixed amount of time pending the Giving of the Son to be born as a Child. It was Mankind that fell short of the Glory of God and as a result it had to be Mankind to repair the bond between the Creator and His Creation.
The Prophet Isaiah prophesied about this eventual reunion of the Creator and His Creation. It was the Holy Spirit who instructed the Prophet that it had to be a human, in the form of a Child, but not just any child. The Child must be one with the Father, empowered to regain full authority of this terrestrial sphere over governments, principalities, and powers. The birth of the Massiah marked the opening salvo of this redemption plan. His death sealed the plan. His resurrection broke the curse of death. And His triumphant return will complete it for all eternity.
I encourage you to focus on God’s Redemption Plan for His Creation Plan “Then He Came into the World”. The Apostle John wrote in his account of the Gospel message “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son” (John 3:16), while the Prophet Isaiah had already prophesied centuries before “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given”. Who is this Child? None other than the begotten Son of the Father, Jesus the Christ.
By Jesus’ birth hope entered the world. For born-again believers who have veered off the path of righteousness, this is our opportunity to acknowledge our sins before the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit and rekindle the zeal of the Spirit to serve Him in Spirit and Truth. For those who haven’t had the opportunity or desire to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, take this moment to consider what awaits you on that eventual day. I encourage you to “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near” (Isaiah 55:6-7). Let this Christmas become the opening chapter of your entry into Almighty God’s Redemption Plan for His Creation Plan.
I pray that each of you have a Merry Christmas in Christ Jesus as you come together with your families, both carnal and spiritual. And I pray that your personal and collective attitudes grow in resemblance of Jesus Christ as you share the Good News of the Lord’s Birth. Reach out and touch someone, In Jesus Almighty Name.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart, be acceptable in God’s sight and may the Grace of God be with you and yours always.
