The Canonical Ecclesiastical Jurisdictions

The General Assembly

The General Assembly adopted legislation that clarified Church jurisdiction from Missions.  Canon I.11.1was amended and thereby realign the Church's jurisdiction as follows:

​

• The First Archdiocese shall consist of the Dioceses within the Province of Ontario

• The Second Archdiocese shall consist of the Dioceses within the Province of Quebec

• The Third Archdiocese shall consist of the Dioceses within the Provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan

• The Fourth Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses within the Provinces of Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia

• The Fifth Archdiocese shall consist of the Dioceses of this Church in Trinidad and Tobago, the West Indies, Central and South America

• The Sixth Archdiocese shall consist of the Dioceses of this Church in the Northeast Region of the United States of America

• The Seventh Archdiocese shall consist of the Dioceses of this Church in the Southeast Region of the United States of America

• The Eighth Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses of this Church in the Midwest Region of the United States of America

• The Ninth Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses of this Church in the Southwest Region of the United States of America

• The Tenth Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses of this Church in the West Region of the United States of America

• The Eleventh Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses of this Church in Europe

• The Twelfth Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses of this Church in the Middle East and Africa

• The Thirteenth Archdiocese shall consist of Dioceses of this Church in Asia and Asia Pacific Regions
